Fire Department
The Olmos Park Fire Department provides full-time fire, rescue and
emergency medical response within our community. Headed by
Fire Chief Mark Medbury, many the department's firefighters hold
special certifications in fire suppression and investigation, and as
Emergency Medical Technicians. As part of its 2008-2009 budget,
City Council approved placing a 'first responder' rescue vehicle in
service, enabling firefighters to get to the scene of medical
emergencies even faster. Ambulance service is provided by the
Alamo Heights Fire Department.
Additionally, members of the Olmos Park Fire Department serve as
the city's Emergency Management Coordinator, working with
Homeland Security to develop disaster response plans.
To report a fire, dial 9-1-1. Fire Department officials are also
available during business hours at 824-3281.
